BZ Beta-Backlink Enterprise

We decline gambling, adult content, pyramid schemes and multi-level marketing, payday and predatory lending, essay mills, counterfeit goods, unlicensed pharmaceuticals, unregistered securities and crypto promotion schemes, and any work whose purpose is to deceive a platform or a reader. We accept regulated and health-adjacent sectors, but only under stricter rules than we apply to anything else, because Google holds those sites to a higher standard and generic marketing actively damages them.

Why we publish this at all

Two reasons, and neither of them is virtue. First, our link building depends on real editors at real publications agreeing to publish. The moment we place gambling or adult content through those relationships, they close, and every other client on our books loses access to them. A publisher network is a shared asset and one bad campaign burns it for everybody.

Second, an agency that will take anything is an agency with no standard, and a client cannot tell the difference between that and an agency with a standard until something goes wrong. This page is how you check before you buy.

Sectors we decline

We will not take this work at any price. If you are in one of these categories, we would rather tell you now than take a deposit and disappoint you:

We also decline individual campaigns in otherwise acceptable sectors where the specific brief would require any of the above.

Sectors we accept, with stricter rules

Google classifies pages that can affect somebody's health, financial stability, safety or wellbeing as Your Money or Your Life content, and holds them to a much higher standard of experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trust. That is not a marketing inconvenience, it is the correct policy, and it changes how the work has to be done.

In practice, generic marketing damages a YMYL site. Anonymous articles, thin content, and links from sites with no topical relevance all read as low trust signals precisely where trust is weighted most heavily. We have seen more YMYL sites harmed by cheap SEO than helped by it.

So for health and medical, finance and insurance, legal, tax, safety-critical products, and anything aimed at vulnerable people, we work under these rules:

This work costs more and moves more slowly, and we quote it that way. If that is not what you are looking for, we are not the right agency, and we would rather establish that on this page than three invoices in.

How this affects our own site

We publish pricing, benchmarks and business advice, so the same standard applies to us. That is why every price on this site is the price the checkout charges, why our market comparisons name their sources, why we state plainly what we do not guarantee, and why our terms list the outcomes nobody can promise. An agency asking you to trust it on trust signals should be legible on its own.

If we decline

We will tell you directly and, where we can, point you to somebody better suited. Declining is not a negotiating position and there is no price at which the list above changes. If you have already paid, you are refunded in full under our refunds policy.

Reporting a breach

If you believe work carried out in our name breaches this policy, tell us at support@beta-backlink.com and we will investigate. We would rather hear it from you than from a publisher withdrawing a relationship.
